Kelly Cioffi grew up in rural Iowa, the barns and pastures were her playgrounds. Surrounded by a menagerie of farm and domestic animals, young Kelly was unaware of her natural gift, though others noticed she was more comfortable around four-legged creatures than the human variety.
Eventually her family traded the Midwestern lifestyle for stints in Colorado and California, where Kelly pursued a variety of careers: co-owner of a fashion boutique, cosmetologist, and licensed massage therapist. Though successful at each endeavor, they left her woefully unfulfilled. That’s why, after finally settling in Florida, she didn’t “settle” for just any job, certainly not one working on people. She spent the next seven years working alongside a veterinarian, caring for animals and assisting at a private practice.
As rewarding as it was, she eventually traded her scrubs for a photographer’s vest, deciding she’d rather take pictures than temperatures. Her nature, wildlife and animal photography allowed her to explore her artistic side.
But not one to remain "hands off" for long, Kelly also put her former massage skills back to use; however, this time on the clients she adores most—animals.
Kelly earned dual certification for equine and canine massage therapy from Equissage™ in Round Hill, VA, the oldest and leading trainer of animal massage therapists in the world.
Today, as a certified Canine and Equine Massage Therapist, Kelly’s mission is to create a trusting bond with each animal as she provides beneficial massage to the creatures she holds dear. |
